Privacy & data
A short explanation.
You can use the festival experience without giving XIP your email address or phone number.
What is saved
XIP may save an event-scoped random participant ID, QR location and touchpoint, interaction time, recommendations shown, saved items, ratings, and crowd or atmosphere responses you choose to send.
Why it is used
The information provides the features you request, creates explainable festival recommendations, and produces thresholded service statistics for the festival organiser. It is not used to identify verified attendance, measure occupancy, recognise you at another event, or target advertising.
How long it is kept
Participant-facing identity, group and session links are removed within 90 days after the event closes. Detailed event-scoped pseudonymous interactions may be retained for up to 24 months before only approved anonymous aggregates remain.
Who receives it
XIP and the participating festival organiser use the information for this event. Infrastructure providers may process it only to operate the service. It is not sold.
Your choice
The event-scoped processing described above is part of the QR service. If you do not want XIP to process a scan in this way, do not use the festival QR service. You may ask for access, correction or deletion of information linked to this event browser session.
Contact the festival organiser and mention the XIP event experience to make a privacy request.
